New Oral Surgeon at Quickbleach in New York
Thomas A. Chiodo, D.D.S is the newest oral surgeon here at our New York Cosmetic Dentistry office. A gifted practitioner of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Chiodo is also a teacher, author and researcher in the field of dentistry. Serving as a highly respected oral surgeon at several hospitals in the New York area, Quickbleach is proud to include him as an addition to our staff. Adding an esteemed oral surgeon to our cosmetic dentistry practice will allow us to provide exceptional care to our patients who require dental implants among other highly specialized treatments.
As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Chiodo is a special kind of dentist who specializes in treating conditions, defects, injuries, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face. Dr. Chiodo helps our New York patients who suffer from problem wisdom teeth, facial pain, or misaligned jaws.
His extensive experience has helped hundreds of people suffering from facial injuries, and has changed the lives of those who have required reconstructive and dental implant surgery. Dr. Chiodo is a medical volunteer providing facial cosmetic reconstruction with Healing The Children a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to healing children around the world.
Dr. Chiodo is one of the best oral surgeons in the New York area. As a researcher, his scientific analysis includes the study of dental radiography techniques, dental plates (or dentures) and many other topics that are helping to improve the field of dentistry. His most recently published findings on oral cancer cells have been published by The Journal of the American Dental Association.
As a teacher in the field of oral surgery, he currently serves as clinical instructor of oral & maxillofacial surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and is an adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medicine.
Dr. Chiodo graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Boston College and with a degree as Doctor of Dental Surgery from Creighton University Dental School Omaha, NE with honors throughout his education. After completing a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY, he did both an internship and a Residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
Licensed to practice dental medicine in both NY and NJ, Dr. Chiodo is a member of The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
